This past weekend we went camping in Gettysburg (Our FAVORITE place) because they were hosting the Pa State Fireman's Parade. Of course we went because Gary's fire truck was in the parade too. Even though is rained most of the weekend we had fun.
She watched the parade from Uncle Neffy's lap and really enjoyed waving to the trucks.
We saw Smokey the Bear.
We saw lots of antique fire trucks
And we saw men in skirts again :)
This is Gary's Company's new truck (did I say that right?)

We had a faire weekend
We went camping this weekend in the Lancaster area and went to the Pa Renaissance Faire. We had a great time, it was very interesting and we would like to go back again.
And here is the queen herself. The color in these costumes were very vivid.
This weekend was a Scottish themed weekend. There were men in skirts everywhere!
There were all kinds of shows, this one had people on stilts doing acrobats
This was a show geared just for kids, the dog was great. lol.
This guy did a pretty cool show, he laid on a bed of nails, stuck a sword down his throat ( he REALLY did this) and other assorted tricks.
If you came dressed in a costume you got a discount on the entry fee into the faire.
Here are some little tykes in skirts.
Lots of adults came dressed.
Then you came across the occasional homemade costumes.
Um, I have no idea.......

Yard Sales
Again, not much is really happening around here. One on my employees took Malia to a yard sale that was going on behind my office, she came back with this booty. A baby cookie monster, Minnie mouse and the awesome dopey.
Dopey whistles the "whistle while you work" tune.
I cant believe she crawled in my chair at work and fell asleep. She doesn't usually give up her "greeter" job to easily.
And last but not least we HAD to give Lola a hair cut. (Sorry Rebecca !)
But we managed to allow the back of her back legs to get matted pretty bad. So we just let the groomer give her a major hair cut. She looks so different, everyone thinks she is a poodle now. *sigh* , it wont happen again !!!
But on a good note....Malia is getting very attached to Lola now. She has to know where she is at all times and is always sneaking her treats and food.

Labor Day Weekend
We really didn't do much this weekend, it kind of snuck up on us quick.
Megan gave Malia her first manicure.
Malia will now actually play with lola. Before Lola wasn't allowed anywhere near her or she was having a fit and crying. Now Malia will get on the floor and play with her.
Every year on Labor day weekend they have a large fair along the river front in Harrisburg called "Kapona". We went today, it was fun.
Here is a pretty nice shot of the river.
There was some kind of canoe race going on, check out all the people in the one canoe! it looked kind of dangerous.
This boat is called the "Pride of the Susquehanna".
We then walked across the bridge to City Island, Its where the Harrisburg Senators baseball team plays. They also have these little shanties that are little food shacks, an arcade and a little children's sized train that goes around the island. I think they have other areas set up for children but we were pretty tired and decided to head back without exploring the rest of it. We only live 30 minuets away and can always come back another day.
I'm not sure if i mentioned this before but Megan lives with us now and started school here last week. She already made a new friend named Brea and they were together all weekend. They had a good time all weekend !
We had one tired little girl this afternoon.
Here are some random shots
